The check that settles it, sentence 16

Zoe's mum in Cardiff got a text: «Hi Mum, it's me, broke my phone, new number, can you send money?» She showed Zoe and laughed: «Your brother's in the living room, love.» The check is easy: ring the number you already know, or look in the next room.

Who acts: mum, text, Two lads, you, brother, check · What happens: get, be, break, send, show, laugh · To what, where: text, Two lads, phone, money, Zoe, living room · Speech: someone speaks here

This is a sentence of the lesson «The check that settles it» of the everyday course of Mova's primary school. The page gives its syntax tree — a dependency tree in the style of Universal Dependencies — and its pragmatics clause by clause: who acts (mum, text, Two lads, you), what happens, when and where, as Mova's frames read it from the tree.

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): no change. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
