Building words: prefixes, suffixes and compounds, sentence 4
Knowing the parts lets you crack new words like a code, but not every combination is a real word, so check new ones in a dictionary.
Who acts: Knowing, you, combination · What happens: know, let, crack, be, check · To what, where: parts, new words, real word, new ones, dictionary
This is a sentence of the lesson «Building words: prefixes, suffixes and compounds» of the language course of Mova's primary school. The page gives its syntax tree — a dependency tree in the style of Universal Dependencies — and its pragmatics clause by clause: who acts (Knowing, you, combination), what happens, when and where, as Mova's frames read it from the tree.
