Sleepovers and spooky stories, sentence 7

Scratching and creaking at night usually come from mice, branches, wind, cooling pipes or a house settling (its wood and walls shifting a tiny bit) as it cools; turning on a light and looking, or telling an adult, usually solves the mystery.

Who acts: branches, walls, house · What happens: scratch, creak, come, settle, shift, cool · To what, where: wood, tiny bit, light, adult, mystery · Speech: someone speaks here

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×1, R6-punct-agree ×1. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
