Fights, racism and being a bystander, sentence 0

Some hurts are about losing face, like Rory losing an arm-wrestle to his little cousin at a barbecue while the whole family laughed; others cut much deeper, like a boy telling Mo every single day that he should "go back" to a country he has never lived in, when Mo was born right here.

Who acts: hurts, Rory, whole family, others, boy, family · What happens: be, lose, laugh, cut, tell, go back · To what, where: arm wrestle, barbecue, Mo, country · Speech: someone speaks here

This is a sentence of the lesson «Fights, racism and being a bystander» of the reflection course of Mova's primary school. The page gives its syntax tree — a dependency tree in the style of Universal Dependencies — and its pragmatics clause by clause: who acts (hurts, Rory, whole family, others), what happens, when and where, as Mova's frames read it from the tree.

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×1, R7-rel-agree ×2, R8-pos-agree ×1. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
