Heating, water pipes and drains, sentence 11

Stored hot water is kept at about 60 degrees to stop germs growing in the tank; run the cold first in a bath and test it with your elbow, because hot water can scald (burn the skin); the hot tap runs cold at first because the cooled water already sitting in the pipe has to come out before the hot arrives.

Who acts: hot water, hot tap, cooled water, hot · What happens: store, keep, stop, grow, run, test · To what, where: Stored hot water, 60 degrees, germs, tank, cold, bath

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×4, R7-rel-agree ×2. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
