English Fairy Tales, XXI. Childe Rowland., sentence 83

Finally, there are a couple of words in the narrative that deserve a couple of words of explanation: “Widershins” is probably, as Mr. Batten suggests, analogous to the German “wider Schein,” against the appearance of the sun, “counter-clockwise” as the mathematicians say--_i.e._, W., S., E., N., instead of with the sun and the hands of a clock; why it should have an unspelling influence is hard to say.

Who acts: couple, narrative, Batten, mathematicians · What happens: be, deserve, say, have, word · To what, where: couple, unspelling influence, explanation · Speech: someone speaks here

This is a sentence of «English Fairy Tales» by Joseph Jacobs, XXI. Childe Rowland.. The page gives its syntax tree — a dependency tree in the style of Universal Dependencies — and its pragmatics clause by clause: who acts (couple, narrative, Batten, mathematicians), what happens, when and where, as Mova's frames read it from the tree.

Parsed by Mova, not checked by a teacher. This tree is Mova's own parse (the en model, on the CPU, when the site is built); it may be wrong.
