Belize, sentence 26

From Wikipedia, «Belize», revision of the 2026-09-01 dump, CC BY-SA 4.0. The trees and pragmatics of these pages, Mova's parse of that text, are CC BY-SA 4.0 too.

It has been proposed that Delgado's "Balis" was actually the Mayan word belix (or beliz), meaning "muddy water", although no such Mayan word actually exists.

Who acts: Balis, such Mayan word · What happens: propose, be, mean, exist · To what, where: name, word belix, muddy water
