Kabul, sentence 34

From Wikipedia, «Kabul», revision of the 2026-09-01 dump, CC BY-SA 4.0. The trees and pragmatics of these pages, Mova's parse of that text, are CC BY-SA 4.0 too.

This "supposition seems likely" as the Afghan historian Mir Ghulam Mohammad Ghobar (1898–1978) wrote that in the Avesta (sacred book of Zoroastrianism), Kabul was known as Vaekereta, whereas the Greeks of antiquity referred to it as Ortospana ("High Place"), which corresponds to the Sanskrit word Urddhastana, which was applied to Kabul.

Who acts: supposition, Afghan historian, High Place · What happens: seem, write, know, refer, correspond, apply · To what, where: Kabul, Avesta, antiquity, historian, Sanskrit word · Speech: someone speaks here
