sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Here it means a corner or a side of a doorframe, and also a fishhook on a line used for catching fish. In the primary lessons: In maths, angles are measured with a protractor: a right angle is 90°, an acute angle is less than 90°, an obtuse angle is between 90° and 180°, a straight angle is 180°, and a full turn is 360°. Angles in a triangle add up to 180°, and in a four-sided shape to 360°. In everyday life you angle a mirror or a lamp; in sport you angle a shot. Phrases: «right angle», «at an angle», «from every angle», «angle for» (try to get something without asking directly).

note
Countable. Do not mix with «angel» (a spirit with wings): angLE vs angEL. Maths traps: the size of an angle does not depend on how long its lines (arms) are; 90° is a quarter turn. Angles on a straight line add to 180°; angles around a point add to 360°.
