sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: To curse God's holy Name, which is a very serious sin punished by death. The prophets and psalms use it for enemies who taunt God, like Sennacherib's insult against the LORD. Interpretation: Tradition treats the holy Name with great awe, and many Jews avoid saying it, using "Hashem" (the Name) instead. The taunts of Sennacherib are read as pride that God answered by defeating his army.
