sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: The tunic of the high priest was woven in a checked or squared pattern of fine linen. The Psalms also use the word for the king's daughter's raiment, chequer work inwrought with gold. Interpretation: The priestly garments were made with great care, and each was taken to atone for particular sins. The tradition reads the royal bride's rich clothing as a picture of honour and glory.
