sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah, to commit a sin or a trespass means to do a wrong act against God or other people. In Proverbs and Job, to commit something to God means to hand it over to Him and trust Him with it. Interpretation: Tradition teaches that sins between a person and God and sins between people need repentance, and the second kind also needs forgiveness from the person hurt. It also reads "commit thy works unto the LORD" as a call to trust God with one's plans. In the primary lessons: In news, law and safety lessons, people commit crimes; in ethics lessons people commit sins or mistakes. In sport and school, committing to a team means turning up and trying hard. Phrases: «commit a crime», «commit to», «commit to memory», «committed (devoted)», «commit suicide» (now people prefer «die by suicide»).
