sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah the court is the open yard around the Tabernacle, fenced by linen hangings on pillars. In the Prophets it also means the courts of the Temple, including the inner court, and the court of the guard, a prison yard. Interpretation: Tradition sees the court as the outer ring of holiness around the Tabernacle, where the altar stood and where the people brought their offerings. Later the Temple courtyards were counted in degrees of holiness. Ezekiel's rules for priests in the inner court are read as keeping that holiness. In the primary lessons: In social studies and stories: the thief went to court. In PE: the netball court, tennis court. In fairy tales: the king's court. Phrases: go to court, take someone to court, court case, out of court, on court.
