sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah, the blood of an offering is drained out at the side or base of the altar. In Job and Isaiah it means to dry up, as when a river is "drained dry." Interpretation: Blood stands for life and belongs to God, so it is handled with care on the altar and is not eaten. The drying river is a picture of the loss of strength and plenty. In the primary lessons: water flowing out: litres per minute taken from a tank; in everyday life: drain the pasta, pull the plug and the bath drains; in science and the town: storm drains carry rainwater away; in safety: never play near storm drains, the water can be fast and deep; phrases: «down the drain», «brain drain»
