sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah, glory means the bright, heavy presence of God, often seen as a cloud or fire. It filled the Tabernacle and shows that God is near. In the Prophets and Writings it can also mean honor and splendor, even of a person or a horse, and God says He will not give His glory to another. Interpretation: Tradition calls God's presence the "Kavod" and the "Shekhinah". Moses asked to see God's glory and was told that no one can see God's face and live. The rabbis read Isaiah's words as saying that God's glory is His alone, so worship belongs to no idol. In the primary lessons: In stories and sport, heroes win glory; in church, people sing «Glory to God» and «Glory be to the Father». In everyday talk «glory days» are happy past times. Phrases: «in all its glory», «blaze of glory», «glory to God», «crowning glory», «glory days».
