sense in the lessons

Interpretation: The editors note there is no old document that proves who wrote Sefer Yetzirah or when. In the primary lessons: In history lessons historic events are big turning points, like the moon landing in 1969 or the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. In everyday life, a «historic town centre» means an old part of a town. In news and sport, a «historic win» is a very special first. Phrases: historic moment, historic building, historic site, historic day.

examples

note

Historic means «important in history»; historical means «about history or from the past» (a historical novel). Many people mix them up. You can write «a historic» or (UK, old-fashioned) «an historic»; «a historic» is more common now.
