sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: The verses forbid a man to lie with another man, and they call it an abomination. The law is among the rules of holiness in Leviticus. In Job, God holds the breath of all mankind in His hand. Interpretation: The rabbis read the Leviticus law as a ban on a particular act between men and took it as a serious law. Many later teachers stress that the Torah speaks about acts and that every person is made in God's image. The verse in Job is read as saying that all human life comes from God. In the primary lessons: In history, science and RE lessons, writers talk about the history of mankind and inventions that helped mankind. Neil Armstrong said on the Moon in 1969: «That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind». Today many people prefer «humankind» or «humanity» so that women are clearly included. Phrases: the history of mankind, for the good of mankind.
