sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah a day begins at the evening and goes through the morning. "Evening and morning" make one day. In the prophets and psalms, morning also stands for new hope, and "son of the morning" is a bright star-like title. Interpretation: Because the day begins in the evening, Shabbat and festivals start at sundown. Tradition also sets a morning prayer, Shacharit, and a morning offering. Lamentations says God's kindness is new every morning, and tradition sings this in prayer. In the primary lessons: a time label that splits a day into parts; amounts from the morning are added to or compared with the afternoon or evening; on a clock, morning times are a.m.; phrases «in the morning», «this morning», «good morning», «morning tea» (Australia, UK)

note

A time label, not a thing counted. The parts of the day are added for the whole day. Trap: «more in the morning than in the afternoon» is a difference. Morning ends at noon (12:00); a.m. times are morning. Do not confuse with «mourning» (being sad after a death).
