Rides with a price per ride lead to multiply or divide; distances ridden on several days add up. Trap: a ride there and back is twice the one-way distance. Forms: ride, rode, ridden (not «rided»). «Ride a bike/horse» (you sit on it) vs «drive a car» (you control it from inside). UK often says «give a lift» for a car ride.
