sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: An old, formal word meaning "in this way" or "so," often used to introduce what God commands or what was done. Interpretation: The phrase "Thus did he" often shows that the builders did exactly as God had commanded, as with the Tabernacle. In the primary lessons: A key word in formal exam and maths language: «x + 3 = 7, thus x = 4». In science reports it joins a result to a reason. In stories it sounds old-fashioned or grand. Phrases: thus far, and thus, thus showing.
