note

«put together» and «have together» mean add. Trap: «A and B have 15 together» gives the sum; to find one part, subtract. Do not mix «together» with «altogether» (in all, completely), though in maths both can mean add. «combined», «jointly» and «collectively» in an exam also mean together, so the sum. «get it together» has no number meaning.
