sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In Genesis, the earth is "unformed and void" before God arranges it. The psalmist uses the word for his own unformed substance, the body before it was shaped, which God already saw. Interpretation: Tradition reads this as the chaos before creation, which God shaped by His word, and Sefer Yetzirah says God engraved letters to give things form. The psalm is read as saying God knew each person even before birth.
