note

Comparison: large, larger, largest (not «more large»). Large is a little more formal than big; «a large amount», «a big hug». Do not confuse with French «large» (wide). «Large» picks a size with its own price or amount. «Largest» asks to choose, not to add. Trap: «larger by 5» means add 5.
