sense in the lessons
In maths it is a word about checking: «Does the answer make sense?» — is it a sensible size, the right unit, not negative people? Science: the five senses and the organs that go with them (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin). Everyday: common sense, a sense of direction, a sense of humour, it makes no sense.

note
Noun and verb. «Five senses» may hide the number 5. About checking, not about quantities: an answer of 3.5 buses or −2 apples does not make sense. Trap: «sense» is not «since» (because) or «cents» (money), which sound similar. «Sensible» means having good sense; «sensitive» means feeling things strongly — not the same.
