Statistics on text demarcations and language learners driven by a database of the Hebrew Bible
What it is about
A one-page editorial introducing two papers of the issue, both built on the ETCBC database of the Hebrew Bible. The first (Jin) tracks participants through Numbers 9–36 to support a division of the text by shared and unique participants and by divine-speech formulae. The second (Winther-Nielsen, Kofod, Fernquist) describes the Bible Online Learner course and how learners follow statistics of their own progress. The editorial itself has no data or method.
Ideas
Ideas: none for Mova. The note only announces the two papers; the ideas live in their own cards (hbo-2022-jin-analysis-participants-second-major-division, and the Bible Online Learner papers).
For Mova
Nothing directly. It points to participant-based text division (Discourse: narrative, speech and the shape of a text, participant tracking) and to course statistics (the Torah course in 13-mova-tools.md), both covered by other cards.
