Summary
Messenian is in the Southern group of dialects of Modern Greek to which also belongs the main variety (the Standard).
Introduction
This file contains selected transcribed material from 70 minutes of interviews with native speakers of the Messenian dialect collected in Messenia during 2023.
Five women (22,24,27,49,60 years) and two men (52,86 years) were recorded. An ASR model was produced with Wisper Large v -03 without fine tuning.
