Metals and what they're good for, sentence 8

Copper conducts electricity very well, so electric wires are made of copper, while wood and plastic hardly let electricity through, which is why the wire has a plastic coat; copper pipes are also used because copper does not rust, though it slowly turns dull or green.

Who acts: Copper, wood, wire · What happens: conduct, make, let, be, have, use · To what, where: electricity, electric wires, plastic coat, copper pipes

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R3-conj-first ×1, R7-rel-agree ×3. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
