The Eldest Magician makes the Himalayas, the Sahara and the Everglades in a game, but really the Himalayas were pushed up as India crashed into Asia over about 50 million years, and India still pushes, so they still rise a little; the Sahara was green with lakes and grass from about 11,000 until about 5,000 years ago, and rock paintings there show swimmers and cattle.
