Ukraine in the Second World War, sentence 2

At Babyn Yar, a ravine in Kyiv, Nazi forces murdered about 33,771 Jews in two days in September 1941, and tens of thousands more people were killed there later; it is first of all a place of the Holocaust, the Nazi murder of Europe's Jews, and today people come there quietly to remember.
