On 26 April 1986 reactor 4 at the Chornobyl nuclear plant exploded; the authorities kept quiet for days, the May Day parade in Kyiv went ahead, and Sweden noticed the radiation first, like a neighbour smelling smoke before the family next door admits the kitchen is on fire.

Who acts: reactor, authorities, Day parade, Sweden, neighbour, family · What happens: explode, keep, go, notice, smelling, admit · To what, where: radiation, smoke, fire · Speech: someone speaks here

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×3, R7-rel-agree ×1. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
