Plurals that make no sense: mice, sheep and geese, sentence 1

That is why "two hice" sounds silly: house took the ordinary -s long ago, while mouse kept its old Old English plural; it is history, not logic.

Who acts: That, two hice, house, mouse, hice · What happens: be, sound, take, keep · To what, where: ordinary, old Old English plural, history

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): no change. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
