Birds and baby animals, sentence 3

Most birds have a poor sense of smell, so a touch won't make parents abandon a chick; but Molly's rule is still good, because a fledgling (a young bird that has just left the nest) on the ground usually has its parents close by, watching.

Who acts: Most birds, touch, parents, rule, young bird, fledgling · What happens: have, not make, not abandon, be, leave, watch · To what, where: poor sense, parents, chick, nest, smell

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×1, R7-rel-agree ×1. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
