Picture Taras's family forty days after his grandmother died: they go to church for prayers, then share a meal at home with kutia, a dish of wheat, honey and poppy seeds; this is sorokovyny, from the Ukrainian word for forty.

This is a sentence of the lesson «Days of remembering: sorokovyny, memorial days, Remembrance Day and the poppy» of the religion ethics course of Mova's primary school.
