Elisha, a prophet, had healed Naaman, a foreign army commander, and refused his gifts; Gehazi ran after Naaman, lied to get silver and clothes, then told Elisha, "Your servant didn't go anywhere" (2 Kings 5:20-27); Elisha knew, and Gehazi was struck with Naaman's skin disease.
