Keeping cold: fridges, freezers and heat pumps, sentence 17

A heat pump works like a fridge backwards: it collects heat from the outside air or the ground, even in winter, because even cold air holds some heat, and pumps it into the house.

Who acts: heat pump, pump, cold air · What happens: work, collect, hold, pump · To what, where: fridge, heat, outside air, air, house

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R5-strong ×4, R7-rel-agree ×2. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
