Explorers and how the world was mapped, sentence 12

Today satellites photograph every part of the Earth, and GPS can tell your position to within a few metres — but the last great blank spaces, like the poles, were reached only about a hundred years ago.

Who acts: satellites, GPS · What happens: photograph, tell, reach · To what, where: part, position, few metres, last great blank spaces · Speech: someone speaks here

The tree: Mova annot: Rust (en) → Haiku 5.5 (medium, Batches API) patches; gates UD 2.18; agreed by treeagree rules (Stanza, Trankit, spaCy trf): R1-cc-next ×2, R5-strong ×3, R7-rel-agree ×1, R8-pos-agree ×1. The frames are read from the tree by Mova's frames reader (prag) when this page is built, the lesson read in order, so a pronoun may be resolved from an earlier sentence.
