sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Here it means set apart for destruction, like the idolatrous things called "devoted" (cherem); a person who keeps them becomes as forbidden as the thing itself. Interpretation: The tradition reads this as a warning that keeping an idol's gold or silver brings the idol's doom into the home, so such things must be destroyed. In the primary lessons: in fairy tales, a cruel person or creature under a spell, or a voice cursing its own bad luck
