noun (adornment, adornments)

meaning for a pupil

Something added to make a person, thing or place look more beautiful; a decoration or ornament. tree →

sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: "Adornments of holiness" probably means holy robes or splendid array in which the people come to serve God. Interpretation: Tradition reads the psalm as speaking of the future king, a descendant of David, and of a people ready to serve him in holiness. In the primary lessons: in stories a jewel, ribbon or carved pattern is an adornment; a character may think no adornment is needed when someone is already lovely.
