sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Here a border is the edge of a land, or the edge of a mountain, or a land's boundary. In Joshua it also means the territory of a tribe, listed by its towns. Interpretation: The Torah marks the exact borders of the land promised to Israel. Tradition treats these borders as a gift from God, and fixed so that each tribe knows its share. Joshua lists each tribe's border by name, which the tradition reads as the fulfilling of God's promise. In the primary lessons: the edge of a shape: its length is the perimeter; in geography, borders between countries on maps; phrases «cross the border», «border around», «bordering on»
