Interpretation: Isaiah calls the people's brow "brass" to mean they are stubborn and shameless. Tradition reads this as a warning against a hard heart that will not listen. In the primary lessons: In stories «he wiped his brow» shows a character is hot or worried; «a furrowed brow» means wrinkles from thinking or worry. In safety, drivers are told not to overtake on the brow of a hill because they cannot see what is coming. Phrases: wipe your brow, knit your brows, furrowed brow, highbrow and lowbrow.
