sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah it can mean "best" or "finest," as in the "choice vine," and it can also mean a selecting. In Proverbs it describes the best silver and gold, and wisdom is said to be worth more than choice gold. Interpretation: Jacob's blessing of Judah describes wine and vines in a rich land. Commentators take this as a sign of the plenty of Judah's future. Proverbs is read as teaching that wisdom and knowledge are worth more than any riches. In the primary lessons: In school tests, «multiple choice» questions give several answers and you pick the right one. In feelings and behaviour lessons, children learn that they make choices and choices have results: «make good choices». In safety, the safe choice is the one to pick when unsure. Phrases: «make a choice», «have no choice», «by choice», «the right choice», «spoilt for choice» (too many good options).
