sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: To declare is to tell, make known or explain something, often with authority. In Job and the Prophets it can also mean to tell what you know, or to proclaim God's acts. Interpretation: In Job, God asks Job to "declare" what he knows of creation, and the tradition reads this as showing how small human understanding is next to God's. In the primary lessons: In history and social studies, countries declare independence or war; officials declare a result or an emergency. In stories a character declares their love or their plan. In cricket, a team captain declares to end their innings early. Phrases: declare war, declare independence, declare the winner, declare that, nothing to declare.
