sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah, to find grace in someone's eyes means to be favored by them. Eyes also stand for sight, judgment and what a person desires. In the Prophets and Writings, eyes can also show attitude, as in winking, and God's eyes see truth and what is hidden. Interpretation: "Eye for eye" is read by the rabbis as a rule of fair payment of money for harm, not literal injury. Tradition also reads "the eyes of the LORD" as God's watchful care, looking for truth and honesty. In the primary lessons: counted body parts: 2 eyes for each person or animal; in science: the eye has a pupil, an iris and a lens; it lets in light so we can see; in safety: never look straight at the Sun, wear goggles, keep sharp things away from eyes; phrases: «keep an eye on» (watch), «in the blink of an eye», «see eye to eye» (agree)
