sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: To conceal, or to turn away and ignore. "Hide thyself" from a lost animal means to pretend not to see it. In the psalms, when God "hides His face", it is a picture of God seeming far away and not helping, or of God turning from a person's sins. Interpretation: The law of returning a lost animal is a duty: one may not look away. God asking whether He should "hide" from Abraham shows Abraham as a friend who is told God's plans. The "hidden face" of God is read as a time of trouble when God seems absent, and the prayer is that He return. In the primary lessons: In maths: things hidden and found: the hidden ones are part of the total: hidden = total − found; each box with the same number makes a rate. In games: hide-and-seek. In science: animals hide using camouflage. Safety: never hide in fridges, car boots or places you cannot get out of. Phrases: hide-and-seek, hide away, in hiding, hide from, hidden treasure.
