Phrases: «make an introduction», «a brief introduction», «introduction to», «letter of introduction».

note

Verb: introduce. Countable (an introduction, introductions). In polite introductions, say each person's name and something about them. Trap: in many languages a word like «introducir» means «put in» — in English, «introduce» usually means present or bring in something new, not insert a key.
