sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: It can mean God's passionate demand for loyalty. It also appears in the law of a husband who suspects his wife of unfaithfulness. In Psalms and Proverbs it is also a burning, fierce feeling, which Proverbs says is harder to stand against than anger. Interpretation: The "law of jealousy" is the sotah ritual, which commentators see as a way to settle suspicion and protect the peace of the home. Worship of other gods is called provoking God to jealousy, and the psalms picture God's jealousy as a fire. In the primary lessons: In PSHE lessons pupils learn that jealousy is a normal feeling (a new baby sibling, a friend with a new bike, someone else picked first) and how to handle it: talk about it, notice your own good things, be happy for others. In stories jealousy causes trouble, as in Cinderella's stepsisters or Joseph's brothers. Phrases: feel jealousy, out of jealousy, green with envy.
