sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah it is the name of an Israelite man, the father of Sethur, who was a spy from the tribe of Asher. In Chronicles it is also the name of several other men, such as the ancestor of Omri of Issachar. None of them is the angel. Interpretation: The name means "Who is like God?" in Hebrew. Jewish tradition also knows an angel named Michael, but that is a different figure from these men. In the primary lessons: Children meet Michael as a classmate's name, in stories and in songs. In RE and church lessons, Saint Michael the Archangel appears in the Bible and in church windows; Michaelmas is his feast day in the church year.
