sense in the lessons

Interpretation: Tradition reads the noise at the golden calf as the sound of the people's sin, which Moses heard as singing and not war. In the primary lessons: In science, sound is made by vibrations; noise is sound that is loud, messy or unwanted. Loud noise can damage your hearing, so cover your ears at very loud places. In safety, strange noises (a smoke alarm beeping, a car engine, a dog growling) can warn of danger. In class, «keep the noise down» means be quieter. Phrases: «make a noise», «make noise», «background noise».
