sense in the lessons
In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah it often means to arrange things in their right place for worship, like lamps, bread and wood. In Job and Chronicles it means to set out or arrange, as in "order my cause before Him," and to arrange one's life, as in "ordered his ways." Interpretation: The exact order of the lamps, the showbread and the altar wood shows how carefully the Tabernacle service was arranged, as the commentators note. Job lays out his case before God like a lawyer, and Jotham is praised for ordering his ways before God, which tradition reads as living with care and purpose. In the primary lessons: In maths: putting numbers in order from least to greatest; ordering food or things to buy; «order of operations». In everyday life: ordering at a café, ordering online, lining up in order. In science: ordering steps of an experiment, ordering animals by size. In stories: a king's orders; «out of order» on a broken machine.
