sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Besides putting things in a place, "set" can mean to appoint someone to a post, as David set a man over his guard. The prophets also use it for making one thing like another, as God asks "How shall I set thee as Zeboim?" about a city to be destroyed. "Set the horn to thy mouth" is a call to sound the alarm. In the primary lessons: Maths: groups with a fixed number of things (a set of 6 cups): total = sets × n; a set of numbers; sorting into sets. Everyday: set the table, set the alarm, set off on a trip, set up a tent, a TV set. Science: sunset, the jelly sets in the fridge. Stories: the story is set in a forest (takes place there).
